Stand Up for Safe Jobs
Apr 27, 2018

April 28th 1971 is the day the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was formed from workers organizing the fight for a safe work place.  Each year workers across this country remember those who were injured or worst didn’t go home to their families.  Unions were instrumental in the fight for workers safety and workers must continue the fight to keep what has been gained in place. There is federal legislation reversing safety regulation and hacking resources for the enforcement of safety. As postal worker we must use what has been negotiated in Article 14 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to make management fulfill their obligation to provide safe working conditions. Management must make readily available PS Form 1767 for you to obtain anonymously, if you chose. What can we do to inforce their obligation? Get involved, volunteer to become a safety captain, make sure PS 1767 are available and red tag broken or damaged equipment. Together lets stand up for safe jobs because it is our right!

Yours in Solidarity!
